Company History Royal Southern Desserts started from a need to bring a taste of southern hospitality, roots and a taste of the south to the Mid- West. In 2001 when the company was founded, there were no dessert companies dedicated to desserts made popular in the south and as a new comer to Columbus, Ohio LaTashia noticed the people she interacted with didn’t have that southern hospitality value she grew up around. That is what inspired her to start a dessert business that would show the hospitality that she grew to know from her family and embrace her family traditional recipes that could only come from the heart of a southern girl.

In 2001, LaTashia decide to take her Grandmother and other family member’s recipes and start a business of her own. She decided to name her business after her family traditional color royal which consists of purple and gold t shirts that her family wears during their family reunions. Each dessert has story and was named after a family member or popular southern term. Royal Southern Dessert recipes are created to bring you back to your roots, introduce you to family businesses that place all of their love, passion and hard work into making delicious desserts. Royal Southern Desserts is the only southern dessert business in Columbus, Ohio that offers a menu that is filled with southern roots. Royal Southern Desserts are created with strong southern value and introduce to their customers the uniqueness and awesome flavors from the south. It is their mission to be different from the everyday bakery, cupcake shops and dessert café but rather stay true to their roots and bring about special memories. Everything is made from scratch with a southern style of baking that Royal Southern Dessert offer from their hearts.
